Ajwain (carom) flowers
Light, floral and herbalاجوائن
Rs 2,200per jar
Made from the white umbrella-shaped flowers of the ajwain plant. A herbal, slightly spicy honey that many families reach for as a morning ritual.
Ajwain honey carries a little of the plant's character: herbal, warm and slightly spicy, with a sweetness that is less heavy than dark honey. People who find ordinary honey too sweet often prefer it.
The most common way our customers use ajwain honey is a teaspoon stirred into a glass of warm water first thing in the morning, sometimes with a squeeze of lemon. In South Asian households ajwain has long been associated with digestion, and this honey is a gentle way to bring that flavour into the day.
Honey is still a natural sugar. If you are watching your weight, use it to replace refined sugar rather than adding it on top, keep portions to a teaspoon or two, and pair it with a balanced diet and regular activity. If you have diabetes, speak to your doctor before adding any honey to your diet.
Keep the jar closed at room temperature, away from direct sunlight, and always use a dry spoon. Raw honey never needs the fridge.
All honey thickens or crystallises sooner or later, especially in winter. That is normal. Stand the jar in warm (not hot) water and stir to bring it back.
